The “Minnesota American Chinese Roundtable Meeting,” sponsored by the ACUA(American Chinese United Association), the National Chinese Elite Roundtable’s organizing committee, and the Minnesota American Cultural Exchange Association, was held online on the morning of April 16th, 2022, for a unique cause. More than 100 attendees from various backgrounds, including academia, politics, business, and others, have joined the special meeting.

At the conference, leaders and representatives from every region gave stirring remarks and offered suggestions to support the Asian population and society. According to Jason Lam, president of ACUA, the Chinese community is experiencing bizarre prejudice and even hostility due to the epidemics. His advice is to foster unity among Chinese communities around the United States and rekindle interest in Chinese culture among the “second generation” Chinese Americans which helps other to view the Asian population with out stereotypes.

The meeting’s goals are as follows. The Chinese community leaders from around the globe wanted the Asian population to stand up, speak for themselves, and demand equal rights in the United States, not prejudiced or judged by their lineage. What they want is to raise future ambassadors of Asian and Chinese culture.
